Illamasqua Contest

Here are my four entries for the fourteenth mystery guest of the Art of Darkness Collection.

The first is:

Crystalline Glaze

SL730112 (2)

My friend Sandra assisted me by being my model (thank you darling). I thought of clear water, flowing like crystal tears from her eyes and running out of her mouth.

"Crystal clear teardrops scattering under the eyes and shining in magnificient beauty. A glorious and glimmering blue for Crystalline Glaze."

My second thought was something darker, alluring, something that might be connected to Halloween, as it is drawing nearer.
So I created the second look:

Black Widow

SL730118 (2)

This look was probably inspired by shaping our pumkins, which we bought for Halloween. I thought of a haunting look for my friend and well this is what came out.

"Lingering inside her a hunters heart, with tempting twine, Black Widow allures, seduces and kills."

When I asked my best friend Julia (a major thank you to you too, hun), I actually had soft colors and light shades in mind because I never saw her wearing anything else. The first look and the third for my 14. guest, I tried on her, was:

Desire's child

SL730126

"The splendour of Desire's child alludes to the ravishing beauty of a woman hidden behind the innocence of a child."

It was only after this look that I turned to darker colors. Trying black and brown/red shades on her was what I always wanted to do because she never wears them, so I went for the second look on her but the fourth overall look:

Mother Mischief

SL730128

My first thought was that my friend would look older and more confident with wearing darker make-up but I knew she didn't like it. Even so, she was astonished to see how wonderful this look was and how good it matched her face shape and skin. And I have to say I was as much astonished as her.

"Malignancy and ill will, behold and beware, Mother Mischief lingers and waits for those who do not watch out."

For all these looks I used MAC 120 Palette (even for the lips which are a mix between concealer and eyeshadows)
For the first, second and fourth Shu Uemura's Gel Eyeliner in black
Foundation, concealer and eyeshadow primer by Urban Decay
Brushes by MAC
Shu Uemura's Lashcurler

It was a great pleasure and so much fun... thank you for letting me enter!
